Blanket Monster

Neither Brooks nor Ty had an attachment to a blanket. Cooper is a blanket monster. He would take this blanket everywhere if I let him. Of course it is chenille and not suppose to be washed and dried a lot. We try to keep it kind of clean, but it is hard with it being so delicate. I don't want it ruined. I've tried giving him other chenille blankets to save this one because it is the one he came home from the hospital in, but this is the one.
Here he even insisted on having it in the highchair. He will ruin a meal because he cries so much when I take it away.
New policy at our house.....blanket stays in his crib when he gets up in the morning and at nap. This has helped a ton. Now he doesn't insist on having it all the time. He does love his night-night this is what he calls it since he know he only gets it at bed time.
I only hope this blanket holds up as long as he wants it to.

Oh That Bear!

Ty accidentally left his lunchbox outside Tuesday after school and the bear had no trouble getting his leftover pb & j
Ty asked to play out front after school and was carrying his lunchbox out of the van. I guess he set in on the side of the sand box, and I sure missed it when we came inside.
The red and blue was a tupperwear sandwich holder. The bear had no trouble getting that open.
Bear is not much into zippers. If you look on Dora's head (right above where it is torn) that is a hole where the bear's tooth made a puncture. Poor Dora. Dixie had been acting strange at bed time so we were sure the bear was around At one point Mike went out and looked and he couldn't see it. But it clearly came back for a snack.

Wii

The boys and I gave Mike a Wii for his birthday. Brooks usually gets to play after his rest time in the afternoons when the little boys are resting. I have discovered I may have a bowling prodigy on my hands. Brooks is so good at Wii bowling it is crazy!
A lot of the Wii games take more coordination than these guys have, but Brooks has figured out the bowling. He basically can't lose.

Yes, he does play in his underwear, maybe that is his secret

Look at his score card--a strike or spare on every frame but one!
Those of you who don't have Wii may not appreciate how hard this is, but he beats me every game.Mike accuses me of letting Brooks win, but I assure you I do not!

Cooper, Cooper, Cooper

Cooper now uses his tongue in all of his pictures. Here he had Oreo cream on his nose and I just wanted a pic of the cookie on his nose, but I got the tongue
I thought he looked so cute,(and big)in his new striped shirt, but again his tongue is out in all of these.

I will save these and show them to his girlfriend some day. He'll be sorry.
It makes him look kind of "special".Think someone acts like his Granddad Ware? What a ham
FINALLY a normal shot.

A Sign of Things to Come

We've had rain the last few days but this is the first sign of snow for the season. I am a little worried as it is only the 12th of September.

Some people are predicting a bad winter with lots of snow.....however many think that means we are in for a mild winter. Who knows!
All I know is I will leave my bags packed if we have a winter like last year!

Rockies Game

As well as the Zoo we also manged to take in a Rockies game. The boys were so excited. We use to go a lot, but we had not been to a game all summer so this was quite a treat.
Brooks got to wear his jersey and was proud to look like the players. Ty in his thoughtful state.
Cooper was a little overwhelmed at first. He was trying to take it all in. Once he got settled he loved the game.
Cooper especially like the music and clapping. He would get in his seat and make sure he was turned around so he could join in the clapping and dancing
Still trying to get a picture of the boys looking.
Finally time for dippin dots. Brooks had been dreaming about these the whole game.
Ty had to do his own, and wore most of them on his clothes
Brooks was pleased because we made it to the 7th inning stretch and got to sing "Take Me Out to the Ballgame!" I don't know that we had ever made it that long before when they were all so little.
Ty was very intent on the game. He loves baseball and would not take his eyes off the action. It was neat to see him follow the game so closely
"GO ROCKIES"

A Day at the Zoo

I had been promising Brooks a trip to the Zoo and our last few times in Denver it had not worked out. So when we went this week for his post surgery check up we made time for the Zoo.
This is how Cooper now poses for pictures. He is not just sticking out his tongue, he is spitting too.
Charming Cooper--he is such a ham

still trying to get a pic of the 3 boys all looking

A trip on the train

I love the giraffes. This one was really posing too. We didn't know why they were inside, but Cooper did not like being so close to them in a closed in space

He liked the stuff behind glass better :)

A trip on the carosel. Ty was not so sure, my mom just kept pushing him back up there on that Zebra

We had so much fun and the boys did great! It was a good time at the zoo!
