Fun at the Pool

The last time we were in Denver we took the boys (all 4) to a fun pool with lots of slides, a gradual entry and playground things for the little boys. A rain storm had blown through and most everyone had left for the evening, but we took advantage of the small group and had a great time. It was a little cool, and Cooper was cold most of the time, but we had fun none the less. The gradual entry makes such a difference. It is so nice when the little boys can walk in and be free of just having to be held the whole time.
Brooks was scared of the big yellow slide, but did do it, and of course loved it and went back over and over again!
Evan is a great swimmer and had so much fun swimming with the boys. He was a great help when I needed an extra set of hands!
Poor Cooper was so tired and then cold most of the afternoon.
He did love his Independence thought.
It is nice that he could walk out and be on his own a little bit.

Brooks on the small slide. Ready for splash down.
I love the look on Ty's face--pure joy--he loved that slide. It looks like he is just sitting there, but it was an action shot.

I CAN'T BELIEVE IT! A picture with everyone looking. It is not great of Brooks, but really good of the 3 monkeys in the front.
What a fun afternoon.

Hiking With the Boys

Today I took the boys for a hike on a trail called the lower loop. I use the term hike loosely more like a nature walk. The lower loop is very gradual and grated, but they seemed to have a good time.It was a very pretty morning and nice to be out. There were lots of people using the trail, so I felt like I was having to keep them out of the other peoples way a lot of the time. We took our time and had fun. This was an old tree that had fallen over and they loved climbing on and around it.

Brooks finally made it up with a little help.
Ty finally made it with a little help. This was a split second before Ty fell off the trunk. He was so unbalanced and I asked him to take his hat off for a picture, when I did that he fell off. He was very upset. Exploring......
Ty ever the cautious one would not go look any closer I wish the lighting had been better on this picture. I didn't want to carry my big camera so I only had my little one, but I still think this is a pretty cute shot. I don't know why Brooks is posed like this
(then Ty was mad because Brooks had been blocking him in the last shot)
Brooks attempting to help Ty "look at the camera" 2 out of 3 looking isn't bad
We had fun and the boys were exhausted. Brooks and Ty fell asleep on the short car ride home........must have been too much fresh air.

Rockies Game

When we were home last week we finally made it to a Rockies game. The last few times we had been to Denver they had been on the road and we were yet to see a game this year. Cooper was a little shy when we first got there. It is a lot to take in all at once then he really loved it. This is not a good picture of Ty, but I love how you can see Cooper was really getting into the game.
We love going to baseball games and I hope it is a love we can pass on to the boys. (However Ty looks in pain in this shot)
I think this is such a good picture of Evan and Mimi!

It was time for a lesson in shelling peanuts.
Mimi did most of the work, but Cooper was trying
usually he dropped the nut after getting the shell open
The big boys had to get in on it too. Such determination

Ty can't be left out of the lesson
Do you think they wanted their picture made with Mom? It is too bad they weren't looking because I think it is a pretty good picture of me.
We had a great time at the Rockies! I need to remember to plan our trips in the summer around baseball because it is such a great way to spend an evening with the boys. (even if they won't cooperate for a picture)
