Getting some last minute words of advice from Miss Jessica

When ever they have a school program Brooks always goes first. I don't know if it is alphabetical, or if they know Brooks will do it no problem.

Hopefully this will not be the last diploma he receives :)
showing off
It ended up being a really fun event. He enjoyed the attention and we were all so proud of him.
I think the boys liked the rainbow as much as the circus. I had never been to an "outside" circus. I couldn't figure a circus without a tent. The action was kind of far and the little boys had trouble seeing the performers but Brooks was on it. They all found and really liked the trapeze artist. Brooks liked the juggling and the artist who used fire.
Cooper tried cotton candy for the first time. His first few bites he could not figure out the texture (and I didn't have the camera out yet), but he he got the hang of it.
Brooks was crazy excited the whole evening, and the cotton candy didn't help. Brooks with his blue teeth.

Ty also had some cotton candy. He had no trouble getting through his. I think he had had it last summer at a Rockies game so he knew what it was about.
I had my old camera and I can't believe how may of my shots were blurry.
Ty did have a little trouble with the sticky hands.
These pictures don't really show but Cooper was checking out the elephants. I was so nervous because he was so close to the elephants. we have all seen the elephants go crazy and storm the fence.
We left at intermission because it was getting late, and cold, but the boys had a good time and we'd had a full evening.

I guess these guys were playing on a really big field, because we were not that far away, and my camera has a really good lens, but you still can't tell it's Brooks.
Brooks was spinning in circles in the field. He has a little trouble staying on task........
Brooks and Hannah looking at bugs. Yes this was during the game. He was playing defense and the action was on the other side of the field.
One of my friends assures me he is right on track as far as soccer development goes. Right now it is about the kids having fun and being out trying, and soon the skills and rules of the game with come to them.
I'm not sure what he was doing here, looks like just being silly.

Brooks did pretty well. He has trouble with the fact that he can kick and run and then kick it again. He tends to kick it and then just stand there. He seems to be having fun and it gives us something to do at the park on a beautiful Saturday afternoon.
one mom walked in and said, "oh it sure is colorful in here"
Balloons everywhere!

of course a hi-light of the party was popping all those balloons
it was really a great way to do the party because the kids could run and play as much as they wanted

Cooper and Ty were both right in the mix

decorating their goodie bags
time for presents
Lhotse and Porter
one of this year's favorites-a marshmallow shooter. It is really pretty fun and Cooper follows around behind eating all the marshmallows that have been shot
fairly harmless looking balloons-but if someone gives these to your child take them away immediately and throw them in the trash. (consider new friends too) They are called screaming balloons and they are soooo loud and annoying, yet seemingly irresistible to a 5,3, & 2 year old. Thanks Jan!
And finally cake one more time--but none of us were complaining

and this concludes birthday week extravaganza!
