Brooks' 4th Birthday Party
Saturday we had a party at the house for Brooks and his friends from school. Brooks was so excited I didn't think he was going to make it until 10 o'clock.
Cake time! Brooks had a Buzz Lightyear cake
Lhotse, Rowan and Porter, three of Brooks' friends from school
Pinata time. We found this pinata that had pull strings and didn't require a bat. A much safer alternative!
Porter pulled the winning string that opened it--candy for everyone!
Brooks seemed to have had a great time. Cooper was a little overwhelmed with all the people, but Ty did great. He joined right in the festivities.

Brooks' New Pet
Brooks got a new fish for his 4th Birthday! As you can tell by his face he could not be more proud!
He first named the new fish Eddie, but has since changed it to Ernie.
Don't have to worry about Ernie being hungry as Brooks tries to feed him about every 15 minutes. We now have the food well out of his reach and have a new feeding schedule.

More Birthday
The birthday extravaganza started early with cupcakes for breakfast. He asked and I could not tell the birthday boy no!
Ty and Cooper also benefited from the birthday boys request of cupcakes for breakfast
You'll notice he still has his jammies on! Oh well you only turn 4 once.
Brooks got to go swimming and spend some time with just Mom and Dad while Jenny stayed with the little boys. After dinner we went back to share cake and ice cream with the little boys.
I think Ty was as excited as Brooks about the presents! 
Brooks was great about letting Ty help.

I Can Do It Too!
Cooper has just recently decided he needs to wear the headphones in the van like his big brothers do. There is nothing the big boys do that Cooper doesn't at least attempt to do too. Well he decided he was ready to try the headphones too. 
At first he was not so sure........
Until he realized the sound now matches the video.
"Hey maybe this is alright."
He still only wears them for a short period of time before he flips them off, but he is getting the hang of it. Pretty soon Mommy won't have to listen to Dora at all!
