I follow several blogs and I recently came upon one that does a "Wordless Wednesday" On Wednesday this blogger posts a picture and nothing more. I thought it was neat and kind of thought provoking. I was going to do this tomorrow and explain, but then it would not have been wordless, so the explanation had to come the day before. Stay tuned for our first installment of Wordless Wednesday.........
If my children ever tell you I shut them under the stairs in the dark, they are not lying! When we were recently cleaning out our storage area under the stairs we made the boys a "movie theater" It is very narrow and works perfectly (except for the extension cord across the hall) Sorry the pictures are kind of weird. I had trouble showing the size and shape of the space.
The wall on the left has chalkboard paint on it so they can draw with chalk
The biggest problem is getting everyone to agree what to watch.
Brooks really uses the movie theater a lot, the little boys are not quite as interested.
This is our view off the back deck. With my new camera I can get some really neat shots of our beautiful mountains. Couldn't resist taking a few shots of this sunset. all completely untouched
We continue to stay amazed at how beautiful it is in Crested Butte
Just some snap shots from a recent trip to the park. (when we were last in Denver for Cooper's Dr's appointment) We found this new park close to my parents house
Thursday morning when I was up getting ready for work I saw the moon setting over Mt. Emmons As I packed lunches it got lower and lower and it was beautiful as it set over the range
I know not very exciting and not a picture of the boys, but I just wanted to share this beautiful moon.
Cooper has a new favorite hobby. He did it for the first time just the other day. I scolded him, took the obligatory pictures, and cleaned it up. Pretty sad I guess today he was board because he did it twice more when I wasn't looking. Brooks' bathroom Our bathroom too!Oh Cooper!
We finally got some snow this week. We had had flurries a couple of time but not enough to accumulate. Here are a few shots from the boys playing in the front. Brooks was so excited when he woke up to snow. He was asking to go outside before I even got out of bed. Trying out the sled. They got a few runs in before we got down to gravel. Dixie getting in on the action. She loves the snow and has since she was a puppy. For the longest time if you asked Brooks what his favorite season was he'd say "snow". Now he knows to say winter because that is when it snows. I think Brooks as much as anyone really appreciates we live in the mountains. He takes full advantage of the experience of living in the mountains. I am hoping Ty has a better winter. He is not a big fan of the cold and wet, but he did pretty good this day. Maybe now that he is a little bigger it will all be easier for him. be sure to watch our weather ticker on the side of the blog. As I sat down it work on this it is 4 below! I have been cold for days.......
Day after Halloween blues. Brooks was so tired after Halloween. We drove home Saturday and he was trying to watch a movie when I looked back and saw this... Mike and I were cracking up. Poor baby. Ear phones are not doing him much good :)He may be upset when he sees the blog. He still has no idea I took these pics. I will for sure file these away for a rainy day.
I was so glad the boys got to trick-or-treat with their cousins. Reese was an adorable puppy and Evan was a character from Pokemon. I love the way Evan is behind Brooks and he has no idea. Evan and Randy Ready to go! Enough with the pictures already! The little boys held up the big boys quite a bit. We all did several blocks together and then Randy took Brooks and Evan to some more houses. It sure was nice to be able to spend this fun holiday with family.
